Introduction

Why is Slickdeals running the mobile beta app?

Slickdeals is moving to a new technology platform that allows the app to run faster and host more modern features. 

What’s different about the app?

There’s not much of a difference from the current Slickdeals app. Temporarily, there may be some small features missing. The biggest difference is that the app is faster and will integrate with more modern devices. 

How do I test the Slickdeals Beta App for iOS?

• If chosen, you'll receive an invitation directly from Slickdeals. No further steps can be completed until you receive this email.
• Then you'll opt-in to join the Slickdeals Beta App through TestFligh

Beta Installation

You should have received an email from TestFlight. If you didn’t receive it in a couple of days, contact us at ios@slickdeals.net.

Open the email and tap on “View in TestFlight”. Once in TestFlight, tap “Accept” to accept the invitation. Then tap “Install” to replace your original Slickdeals app with the beta version.

Once in the app tap “Next”, finish the log-in steps, then start testing. If you have any issues, close the app and log back in.

Why do you ask for Apple ID information? 

It’s needed so invitations can be sent out and so crashes and bugs can be tracked and 

Where’s my beta invitation?

If you haven’t received your beta invitation email but have filled out the Opt-In Form, then send an email to ios@slickdeals.net (depending on which version you’re testing). Please use “Beta Help” for the subject line.

Why give feedback?

Slickdeals is all about shoppers helping shoppers save. Especially when we look out for one another. By testing the app and providing feedback, you help ensure there are no major issues before it’s released.

Beta Gift Cards

I installed the beta. Where’s my Visa gift card?

Once Slickdeals verifies that you installed the Beta and met the eligibility requirements, you’ll receive an email from a member of the Slickdeals staff in 1-2 weeks requesting that you confirm information for gift card delivery. After you confirm, your gift card will be sent via an email from “Tremendous”. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.

How do I redeem my Visa gift card?

1. In the email from “Tremendous”, tap “Redeem $7”
2. Select your country and “Virtual Visa”
3. Fill in the appropriate fields with your information and click “Activate $7 card”

Beta Opt Out

I want out. How do I get the original version of the app back?

Get the original version of the Slickdeals app by uninstalling the beta app and uninstalling TestFlight. Then download the original Slickdeals app here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slickdeals-deals-discounts/id584632814

Once that’s done, please send us an email to ios@slickdeals.net with the subject line “Beta Opt-Out” and provide any feedback.
